In the Saros 128 (even means descending node), in between solar eclipses 57-58, average synodic month was 17 sec shorter then usual, i.e. the Moon was moving faster.

In general, we are much less worried when the clockwork in the Heavens is slipping , than when it is sticking. That's when gears and axles break and things start falling on your head. Don't run for your life, just yet.
