As always, we went to SF Fleet Week.
As always, we went to SF Fleet Week. This time, I, finally, noticed that "DONT TREAD ON ME" First Navy Jack was on the bow of every ship.

Since 1977, the First Navy Jack was displayed by the ship in active status with the longest total period of active service. But since September 11, 2002, it has been flown on all active naval ships for the duration of the global war on terror.

The rattlesnake (specifically, the Timber Rattlesnake) is especially significant and symbolic to the American Revolution. The rattle has thirteen layers, signifying the original Thirteen Colonies. The snake does not strike until provoked, a quality echoed by the phrase "Don't tread on me."

Beginning in 2009, the Gadsden Flag has become an adopted symbol of the American Tea Party movement.

During the fleet week, it became clear that Marianna не рабирается в званиях/etc моряков, что для леди совершенно недопустимо.
